The United States fell short today in the face of some incredible riding from the Europeans. Team anchor Steffen Peters led the way in the Grand Prix Special this morning with a solid 77.705%, with teammates Tina Konyot and Jan Ebeling following behind with scores in the low 70's. The American team ended up in 6th place.
Great Britain has been unstoppable this Olympic Games, with two riders scoring over 80% in today's Grand Prix Special. Their team took gold, dressage powerhouse Germany captured the silver medal, and the ever-consistent Dutch team claimed the bronze.
Steffen Peters is still in contention for an individual medal, and will ride in the Freestyle competition on Thursday.
