Last week’s deadly tornadoes in the Midwestern and Southern U.S. affected millions of lives. Towns were destroyed, dozens of people were killed, and residents of over twelves states now face a long and difficult  recovery process.

The hardships are intensified for horse owners, who also face the overwhelming expenses of feeding, caring for, and relocating their horses in the midst of the tornadoes’ aftermath.

The USEF has set up the USEF Equine Disaster Relief Fund to provide support for equestrians whose lives and animals have been affected by the storms’ destruction. Donations will be used to assist in the care of equids in the tornado-stricken areas. For more information, and to donate to the USEF Equine Disaster Relief Fund, visit www.usef.org.
