Team USA Chef d'Equipe George Morris is certainly feeling heavy of heart today as the United States walks way from the 2012 Olympic Show Jumping competition without a team medal. Despite a good effort from each team member, McLain Ward incurred 8 faults, Beezie Madden 4, Reed Kessler 12, and Rich Fellers an unfortunate 8, leaving the U.S. in 6th place and out of the medals. After a riveting jump-off between Great Britain and the Netherlands, Great Britain was victorious and won the gold medal with three clear rounds. The Netherlands took silver, and Saudi Arabia scored bronze, a first for this up-and-coming nation in the world of show jumping.

Rich Fellers and McLain Ward are still in contention for an individual medal, and will jump again on Wednesday.
